I’ve decided to do a little cleaning out as far as my books go.  I’ve never been much of a book collector.  I enjoy reading, but if I don’t think I’ll ever re-read them (like my beloved Twilight collection), out they go.

Hope everyone had an awesome holiday and Happy New Year!  We had a wonderful Christmas.  Let’s just say, Santa was very good to us this year!  We really enjoyed spending time with our family and this year was the first in a while, that we were all well during the holidays.  The past couple years, we were either dealing with a nasty stomach bug or runny noses and sore throats.  So having healthy kids this season, was a nice change.

The kids finally went back to school yesterday.  Surprisingly, they were actually ready to go back.  Christopher received some Thomas and Friends reading books, and he just couldn’t wait to show his teacher!

Steven is still commuting, so we haven’t moved yet.  We wanted to enjoy the holidays, so we decided to put it on hold.  He doesn’t mind driving right now, and the cheaper gas prices have helped tremendously.  We are still planning to move though.  We are just going to take our time.  We are looking for a house in a specific area, so we can get our kids in the school zoned to that area.  Also, fortuantely, we already have a buyer for our house, and they aren’t in any rush, since they either plan to rent it out or fix it up and resell it.  So we have plenty of time, and we don’t have to stress over it, which is nice.

I finished 2 books over the holidays.  Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr and The Host by Stephenie Meyer.  Both great reads, and although Ink Exchange wasn’t as good as Wicked Lovely, it held my interest.  The Host was a pleasant surprise.  I would have liked to have had more dialogue, a little too much description for my taste, but still an awesome concept, and anyone into Sci-Fi novels, should definitely check it out!  Right now, I’m reading This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen.  I’m enjoying it, but I’m missing the fantasy genre.

Next up will be, A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray.  I’ve heard excellent reviews of the book, and I can’t wait to get started on it.  Part of me, wants to just stop reading my current book, and start that one, but I hate to start something and not finish it, so I’m going to try to get through it.  I’m almost halfway done.

Ok…that’s about it for now, I promise to blog more.  That’s one of my New Year’s Resolutions.  Hopefully, I can stick with it.  Wish me luck!!

As you all know, I just finished reading the Twilight Series, and loved them so much!  Of course afterward, I was completely hooked on reading, I was in need of something else to satisfy my new addiction.  At that point, I decided to try to find my library card.  After searching every junk drawer in the house, I finally found it, and logged on to my local library’s website.  I found several books that I’m planning to read at the recommendation of my sister, of course.

I just finished an awesome book by Melissa Marr called Wicked Lovely.  If you are into Faeries, then this is the book for you.  But keep in mind, that this is not your typical Faery Tale, and that’s all I’m going to say about it.

I just spent the last two weeks reading the entire Twilight book series. My sister and my friend Tessa kept raving over it, so I just had to check it out, with the movie coming out and all. (Which I thought rocked!!) Well…after the first book, I was hooked and I couldn’t put them down. I finally finished Breaking Dawn, and it had the perfect ending, although it left me “thirsting” for more.

Just wanted to explain my absence over the past couple of weeks….
