My Little Miracles Are 2 Years Old Today

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA & FAITH!!

Two years ago today, an amazing event occurred.  The very unexpected, premature birth of our twins, Emma & Faith.  It was a very stressful time for us, but some how we all pulled through it.  Today, they are two very typical 2 year old girls, with two completely different personalities.  Faith is Allie’s “mini-me” practically.  Always, toddling right behind her where ever she goes.  She’s Allie’s little partner in crime. LOL

Although, Emma had a little trouble with learning to sit, crawl and walk, she has completely caught up with Faith, and now is capable of dressing herself, putting on socks, shoes, etc.  It’s really amazing.  I am constantly catching her putting on Allie’s pants or Christopher socks.  It is so adorable.

Here’s a video that I would like to share (some of you may have already seen it) in celebration of their birthday and their survival really.  We’ve been so blessed, and I thank God everyday for them.

A Birthday Celebration!

My little girl turned 4 years old yesterday, and here’s a few pics from the birthday celebration. We had a wonderful time, and it was nice to be able to spend time together as a family. So yes, a very busy weekend, so I didn’t get a chance to post much. Enjoy!! :)

Happy Birthday Big Boy!!

christopher-pics-001.jpg

Six years ago today, a very unique and beautiful little boy came into my life. Determined to be born on his due date, and causing quite a bit of scare. Me being in labor for nearly 14 hours, and part of that pushing for nearly 2 hours, my new first born baby came out very lethargic and not crying. The labor had put quite a bit of stress on him, so he was very exhausted. I was told not to worry, that he was fine and breathing without any problems, but little did I know that we would be spending the next 6 days in the hospital. The night he was born, he had a very mild seizure. Several tests were run, including a spinal tap on my one day old baby and another being an ultrasound on his head. The spinal tap showed blood in the spinal fluid, which is why they ordered the ultrasound. The ultrasound showed a very mild bleed inside the brain. They had seen this before, that it was very common, and often goes undetected. They said that it would absorb back into the brain, and he should be just fine, but they wanted to do more bloodwork to rule anything else out that might be more serious. Which is why we ultimately spent 6 days in the hospital waiting for blood tests that eventually came out normal.

Today, Christopher is an amazing little boy. He has such a good heart, and loves everybody so unconditionally. Although, his Autism has been a challenge for him, and us as well, we are still impressed at the progress he has made, and we are so proud of him. He amazes us everyday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTOPHER!!

MAMA & DADDY LOVE YOU!

Thanks Sis!

Thanks to my sister for the lovely birthday wish.  Yes…today is my birthday.  And I’m totally broke, so we won’t be celebrating it until the weekend, which is fine with me.  I really could care less either way.  But get this….now this is too funny…my phone was disconnected today, so no one will be able to call and wish me a “Happy Birthday”.  Isn’t that just absolutely hilarious??  HA HA HA!!!!!
