American Idol Contestant Michael Johns Eliminated??

I just don’t get this. It’s not that I thought that he would win, although, I had really hoped that he would atleast make the final 2 or even final 3. It’s because there are 2 other people that I thought should have left before him. Carly and Syesha were much more deserving of elimination I thought. Oh well…I think that Michael Johns definitely has a future in this business. He could even be the next Chris Daughtry, and look what that boy’s done!

After I posted this originally, I realized that some of my readers may have not watched the show yet, and might have DVR’d tonight’s elimination show. So I deleted the post and reposted it.

So if you don’t want to know who was eliminated tonight, read no further.

American Idol 7 Top 12 Performances

Wow! Last night was great! When I heard that it was Beatles night, I was pumped! There were some really great performances. Here’s a quick run-down of what I thought about each performance.

  1. Syesha Mercado – “Go to Get You in to My Life” – Hmm…I really liked her in the beginning. I was very disappointed in this performance. Very boring to me. But I hope she sticks around for next week, and brings it, because I’d love for her to stay around for a bit longer.
  2. Chickezie – “She’s A Woman” – WooHoo!! WTG, Chickezie! I absolutely loved his performance! He was adorable. I don’t think Chickezie has anything to worry about this week. Last night’s performance was definitely his “saving grace”.
  3. Ramiele Malubay – “In My Life” – I so wanted her to do good. I thought it was going to be at first, but then it just fell apart, and I had to fast forward through the rest of it.
  4. Jason Castro – “If I Fell” – I really liked his performance. I can see why he has such a huge fanbase. He’ll be around for a while.
  5. Carly Smithson – “Come Together” – It was just “ok”. It was nice to see her “rock out” a little bit. But she’s starting to bore me. Don’t see her leaving anytime soon though. The judges really “like” her. We’ll see….
  6. David Cook – “Eleanor Rigby” – Some might disagree with me. (I’ll name no names), but David is actually starting to become one of my favs. I’m a “rocker at heart”, and I totally loved this performance. Job well done, David C!!
  7. Brooke White – “Let It Be” – I liked her performance, I just don’t know if I’m a fan yet. There are things that bother me about her. I’m not a depressing person, but it just grates on my nerves to see someone smiling ALL of the time. I mean, is she really that happy of a person?? She even smiles when she gets criticism.
  8. David Hernandez - “I Saw Her Standing There” – Do huh? Ok, we all know what’s been circulating on the internet about David H, which why that song was sooo unbelievable, and I totally agree with Randy and Paula, he definitely over-sang it.
  9. Amanda Overmeyer – “You Can’t Do That” – Ughhh…paleeze let this be the end for her! I just don’t see her ever being able to show that she’s actually got a voice underneath all of that screaming she does.
  10. Michael Johns - “Across the Universe” – OMG! That is one of my favorite John Lennon songs! And I think Michael did a excellent job with it. But I agree with my sis on this. I think he is yet to have that “stand out” performance that knocks everyone’s socks off.
  11. Kristy Lee Cook - “Eight Days a Week” – A country version of a Beatles song? Dear Lord, give me a break?? Sorry Ms. Kristy, it just didn’t work, hun.
  12. David Archuleta - “We Can Work It Out.” OMG!! Forgetting the words to your song is a HUGE American Idol “No-No”! And to be honest, once I saw him do that, I started fast forwarding immediately, so I may have to go back and watch it again….if I can. Kind of felt sorry for him though. He definitely let his nerves get the best of him that time. But totally not going anywhere, he’ll get another chance.

Hmm….my prediction for a bottom three??

David Hernandez, Amanda Overmyer and Kristy Lee Cook, with Kristy Lee going home.

American Idol Eliminations – Kady Malloy – Asia’h Epperson – Luke Menard – Danny Noriega

american-idol-elimination.jpg

Finally had a chance to catch up on my DVR episodes of American Idol (let’s just say there was a lot of fast-forwarding going on). To be perfectly honest, I’m not really impressed with this season’s contests AT ALL. Especially the girls, I don’t think I watched an entire performance through to the end with any of them. I definitely think a guy is going to win it this year. Here’s what I think about last night’s eliminations.

Kady Malloy

I think America had this one dead on. I’d say out of all the girls, she is definitely the one I like the least. Again, not very impressed with really any of them, but I feel that she never really connected with any of her songs and seemed very uptight and stiff on stage.

Luke Menard

Awww, god bless him, and he’s really a cutie, but he just didn’t have it. Now, I could definitely see him in a theatrical type setting. He has a good voice, but just not American Idol material, in my opinion.

Danny Noriega

All I can say is….YAY!!! YIPPEEE!!! WOOHOOO!!! HE’S GONE!!! Sorry to all of the Danny Noriega fans, but that dude really got on my nerves and I usually fast forwarded through his performances and judging, because listening to him to me is like “fingernails on a chalkboard”.

Asia’h Epperson

OMG! I was very shocked about this elimination! She was REALLY good and had such a great personality. All I’ve got to say is….there was someone sitting in Asia’h Epperson’s top 12 seat last night, and her name was Amanda Overmyer! That girl should have been sent packing. I’m done with her, and I really hope she is the next to go.

And don’t forget, you can download this year’s performances on iTunes! (Must have iTunes installed on computer) I think this is an excellent idea that American Idol has come up with, wish they would have done it 2 years ago.

Busy, Busy, Busy!!

OMG!  I’ve been working my rear-end off on a couple of new website projects.  I’ve come across something really cool, but I’m going to wait about sharing it, until I know that it’s going to work.  What I mean by “work”, is “will it make me money?”, because supposedly that is what it is suppose to do.

Until then…I guess those of you that are interested are going to have to wait! LOL

Anyway, I’m totally needing a break from all of it.  I’ve got 3 American Idol episodes to watch, and NO I don’t know who got eliminated, so PLEASE don’t tell me.  I’m going to do everything I can to get them watched.  I really hate being this behind, I’ve just had other things on my mind.  I’m also behind on Big Brother, so I don’t want to know who got kicked off of that either. :P

David Archuleta You Rock!!

OMG! I just finished watching my DVR recording of last night’s American Idol, and I’m floored! David Archuleta is unbelievable. I hate to break my sister’s heart, but I’m think I’m changing my favorite. Sorry sis! I’m still definitely hoping for a David Archuleta and Michael Johns Final Two though. And don’t get me wrong, I really like Michael, he just didn’t “Wow” me last night. He is definitely going to have to step it up next week, to win me back. To all of you David A. fans out there, here’s a video of last night’s amazing performance. This kid is just too adorable! :)
