My son had this twice and that cough is just awful. He too was relatively fine except for the coughing and gagging but he was given 2 meds i believe and he was fine in just a couple days. Hope your munchkin gets better soon.

I had a nasty cough about a month ago. Doctor thought it was Whooping cough after he witnessed a coughing spell. Luckily it was not, but he was surprised. He did say that the vaccine I was given as a child has run it’s course and Whooping cough is making a come back, especially in BabyBoomers. I ended up with a new vaccine.

If your babies have had the vaccine I can’t see how they would have gotten the disease.

I hope it is not Whooping cough and everyone feels better sooner than later. (((hugs of support)))

Haha! That’s funny you mention that Chris, because the pediatrician even suggested that. Unfortunately, we tried it and it doesn’t work for mine, they still coughed their heads off at night. But thanks a bunch for the tip!

The only thing you can really do is wait it out. Hey have you tried using Vicks Vapor Rub? Rub vicks on the bottom of the kids feet and put socks on them before they go to bed. My mom use to do it and it worked for us. But then again my sisters and I were a bunch of weird little kids.
