Yesterday, I had the pleasure of lending my kids to a friend of mine to do a practice photo session to build her portfolio for her new photography business that she is starting. I actually met my friend Keri through a Moms of Multiples message board on Babycenter.com (she has twin boys). It wasn’t until much later that we discovered how close we lived to each other (only an 1 hour and 15 minutes away). Since then, we’ve met and have become great friends. Here’s a link to her website and a few snapshots of the pics she took.

What Does This Easter Egg Say?

Since I’m still quite a bit under the whether, and haven’t felt like posting, thought I would do this little test. Seems to have gotten me dead on. Hopefully I’ll be back to myself on Monday.

What Your Easter Egg Says About You

You are cheerful, friendly, and open minded.
You do your best to make sure everyone is happy, including yourself.Empathy comes easily to you. You are very forgiving.

You don’t hold grudges. You easily forget about any negativity in your life.

The Easter Egg Personality Test

Flu Stricken

Yes…the title of this post should explain why this blog has been seriously lacking in posts for the past few days.  I’m doing much better now, but still not quite up to par.  Hopefully, I’ll be back to my old postie self in a couple more days.

My 4 Year Old Freaked Me Out!

Ok…I hope you guys don’t think I’m too weird when I tell you about this.  But here it goes.

When I was about 3 or 4 years old, I had 3 imaginary friends.  Their names were Jesse, Valley & Solly.  And I also had an imaginary dog, named Penelope and it had only one blue tooth.  Don’t ask me.  I don’t know where I came up with this stuff.  I did everything with my imaginary friends.  I had tea parties with them, played outside with them, they ate and slept with me, and sometimes they would die and I would tell my mama about it, then later forget what I told her, and they would be alive again.  She would say something like, “I thought you said that Jesse died.”  And I would say, “Well, he’s not dead anymore, he’s alive again”.  LOL  I know, I’m really starting to sound like a nutcase here aren’t I??  But here’s the thing.  I knew they weren’t real, and sometimes my mama would ask me if they were real (I guess she was getting a little worried about me) and I would say, “No Mama, they’re not real.”  I actually remember this.

Anyway, the other day I walked into Allie’s room and she was in there playing.  Sometimes, she just really gets into “pretend play” with her Barbies and dolls.  And I’ll hear her just chatting away.  Well, at one point, I heard her say a name, and to hear it sent chills down my back.  She said…..

“Come on, Solly, let’s go!”  And I asked her, “Who are you talking about Allie?” and she said, “Solly” and I said, “Who is that?” and she said, “My friend”.

Yep…I nearly jumped out of my skin.  It really freaked me out.  I mean, it is such an uncommon name, and I have never talked about my imaginary friends to her or ever mentioned their names.  Isn’t that a little strange and kinda scary?  Well..all I got to say is, it really weirded me out!
