OMG! I just finished watching my DVR recording of last night’s American Idol, and I’m floored! David Archuleta is unbelievable. I hate to break my sister’s heart, but I’m think I’m changing my favorite. Sorry sis! I’m still definitely hoping for a David Archuleta and Michael Johns Final Two though. And don’t get me wrong, I really like Michael, he just didn’t “Wow” me last night. He is definitely going to have to step it up next week, to win me back. To all of you David A. fans out there, here’s a video of last night’s amazing performance. This kid is just too adorable!

Yep…it’s that time again!!  WooHoo!!  I hate to say this, but for some reason, I don’t get excited about the girls singing at all.  I hardly ever have a girl favorite on American Idol.  Tonight I’m rooting for Michael Johns, so that’s who I’ll be voting for.

Today I got to hang out with my 2 brand new grand-nephews. One of my nieces had her baby boy in November and her sister, my other niece, had her little boy December 31st. We had such a nice visit. It had also been a while since they had seen my kids as well, and we all really enjoyed our time with each other. But unfortunately, we only had a few hours with each other, because they live about 2 hours away.

Another good thing about the visit was there was no food involved. Since they arrived around 2 in the afternoon, they had already eaten and so had we. Usually when we all get together, it involves a huge dinner with some of the most fattening southern food you can think of. So I was happy to be able to stick to my diet.

Speaking of diet, I’ve lost over 23lbs! All in about 6 weeks. I really am feeling better physically, emotionally, and mentally. I still haven’t started exercising, and I know that is something that I’m going to have to do eventually. I had planned to start walking, but the weather has been either too cold or pouring down rain, so I’ve told myself that if that is the case next week, I’m heading to the mall and walking there. I’ve got to do this, or I’ll hit a plateau. But all in all, I am very pleased with my progress. My husband and I have always dreamed of winning the lottery.  We have these long discussions about what we would do with the money, almost to the point, where we almost believe that we’ve won the money, but then realize that it’s only a dream.  It’s easy to get lost in a dream like that.

Well…not for a 47 year old iron worker from the small town of Portal, GA.  He is claiming that he has the winning ticket and the clerk at Clyde’s Market, where he purchased the ticket, also confirms it.

There will be a lunar eclipse tonight sometime around 8:43pm.  There is also suppose to be a clear shot of the out-of-control spy satellite that is falling to earth.  So tonight, you should see quite a show in the sky, that is, if it’s not cloudy.  If it’s clear, we may try to take a look at it.
