Thanks Sis!

Thanks to my sister for the lovely birthday wish.  Yes…today is my birthday.  And I’m totally broke, so we won’t be celebrating it until the weekend, which is fine with me.  I really could care less either way.  But get this….now this is too funny…my phone was disconnected today, so no one will be able to call and wish me a “Happy Birthday”.  Isn’t that just absolutely hilarious??  HA HA HA!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by My Mama Drama!

School Picture Day

Christopher and Allie are having their school pictures made today.  I couldn’t find anything for Christopher to wear, and I needed a bow for Allie’s hair.  So can you believe that I got myself up and 5AM this morning, and drove to Wal-Mart to buy him a shirt and Allie a hair bow?  I also had to buy her some new shoes to go with the dress she was wearing.  But I have to tell you, it was well worth it, because they looked absolutely adorable.  I hope it goes well.  Christopher is kind of hard to photograph sometimes, although he did pretty well last year for his preschool pictures.  We’ll see…I can’t wait to see how they turn out!

Birthday Party A Bust

Well…I hate to disappoint, but we ended up not having a big birthday party for the twins 1st birthday. The weekend of the 15th, Christopher was sick with a really bad cold, so we postponed until the next weekend, then my other 3 got sick with bad colds and congestion the next weekend, so we ultimately canceled then too.

I feel really bad about it, because I was hoping to get great pictures of the babies eating cake. Except, I didn’t know how I was going to do that since they are so behind due to their prematurity, and haven’t started eating finger foods yet. So I guess it all worked out for the best. We will be doing a big party for Christopher for his sixth birthday in December, and that’s when the twins were supposed to be born anyway, so maybe they can get in on the cake then.

Christmas Around the Corner

I can’t believe that Christmas will be here in only a little over 2 months. I haven’t even begun to think of what I’m going to get for the kids.

My husband has already started asking me what I want for Christmas. For some reason, the man just can’t go out on a limb, and pick something out that comes from his heart. He tells me I’m hard to shop for. I guess he’s right, because every year I can never think of anything to tell him. I’m not really big on jewelry, but I would love to have a new wedding ring set in white gold or possibly platinum. I can’t think of any new gadget that I’ve been just dying to have.

Before we had the kids, every year, we would each make a list to give to each other. Oh…and I assure you…he always knew what HE wanted. He would have that list completed so fast it would make your head spin. It would take me forever to make mine out. Now that we have kids, we mainly concentrate on them, and might get one thing for each other.

I guess I just enjoy getting things for them rather than for myself. Probably typical of most moms, huh? And I’m sure that my husband is probably typical of most husbands too.
